Abstract Art

I have researched abstract artists as part of my 'Unusual Surfaces' brief.

I started by looking on www.printpattern.blogspot.co.uk for inspiration, i found some quite cute, sylized prints of buildings and different architecture. I like the idea of using buildings as part of my prints.

I also looked on www.kayelake.co.uk for inspiration, i looked under the 'Abstract' category but didn't find anything particularly interesting, i also looked under the 'Landscapes' category as i am keen on using an architecture theme within my work, overall i found these two images..

I found the second image to be quite interesting and i am going to look for this particular style in other artists work.

I also looked on www.abstractartist.com for more building themed abstract art..

Javier Miguel

Osnat Tzadok
Osnat is a self-representing Canadian artist. She is best known for her large-size original abstract landscape and Contemporary modern paintings.
I love Osnat's style of painting and i like her use of darkness, light and a splash of colour.

I like the use of architecture in these images and the reflection of the buildings in the water.

From these images i have decided to further my research into architecture, i will start to take photo's and sketch to create images in the style of these artists.
